Juneteenth 2020 COVID Cancelation

by | Apr 1, 2020 | 0 comments

The Manhattan Juneteenth Committee has made the difficult but what we think is the responsible decision to cancel this year’s Juneteenth Celebration.
As much as we would like to proceed with this year’s event, we recognize our responsibility to help public health officials and others reduce the spread of the coronavirus and protect the health of our citizens.
Community events where large groups of people would gather simply don’t make sense in light of the current public health crisis we are facing. We hope you understand.
Please mark Saturday, June 19, 2021 on your calendar. That is the date of next year’s Juneteenth Celebration in Manhattan, Kansas.
